About Carrieres de Lumieres

‘Carrieres de Lumieres’, the name of this multimedia experience, means ‘Quarries and Lights.’ This disused stone quarry was re-purposed as an unusual theatre which projects the works of famous French artists on the walls of the quarry. On this particular occasion, we journey through the major phases of artist Marc Chagall’s career (1887 – 1985). Carrieres de Lumieres is in west Provence, France.
